tourism, Restaurant and Bar Professional, Tourist Information and Animation Technician, Kitchen & Pastry Professional and
sports technician.
Overall, the school offers ten different paths, which is one of the objectives of our educational project.
Our mission is to educate and prepare the students, according to the current environment and its unpredictability, thus offering
various curriculum perspectives for the great diversity of students.
In recent years, due to the decrease of major public works, Calheta has been facing unemployment problems and emigration.
Our students come from different social and economic backgrounds. Though many of them come from disadvantaged families
and have different learning abilities our classes are very diverse. EBS Calheta provides a public service, assumes the task of
promoting the social and cultural level of the community, providing development opportunities and personal development of all
individuals, enhancing their contribution to the economic, social and cultural life, and their active integration into society. Our
motivation to join the project is to integrate kinds of non-formal education methods into formal education. Our professional input
and experience in international projects such as Comenius projects and Erasmus+ projects, makes us important partners in the
development of the English language. Our main goal is to better prepare our students for a society where the use of English is
increasingly essential, and where we can consider us a self-school where everyone can acquire principles and values,
knowledge, learning, sustainability, responsibility, freedom and innovation.
