PROJECT MEETING IN MALLORCA 25/06/2022-02/07/2022
For six days, from the 25th of June to 2nd of July, students and teachers from IES Inca have been the hosts to all students from countries participating in the project .
Here you are how we have done these days:
Day 1 - Welcome to the center with a demonstration of traditional dances by the Revetlers des Puig d’Inca. Visit to the areas of our center and Presentations of the different schools.
Day 2 - Round table preparation workshops and presentation of Circular Economy of the Sustainability Department of Gardens Hotels. Sofia and Angelina have been our teachers.
Day 3 - Cultural visit to Palma at the Cathedral and the Almudaina Palace. We were also welcomed by the Palma XXI association to tell us about their struggle and agreements reached against megacruisers. We also had lunch at Celler Sa Premsa to taste typical Mallorcan dishes.
Day 4 - Visit to Formentor Beach and workshop on the study of the marine ecosystem and the importance of protecting it with the Arrels Marines foundation.
Day 5 - Visit to the Inca City Council and Round Table with the Minister of the Environment Miquel Mir, Damià Gomis of the UIB, Alice Weber of the Inca City Council and Mar Muñoz of the GOB. It was a great opportunity to get to know the invited entities and their work, as well as see the sustainability in tourism in our area.
Day 6 - Last day with a visit to the area near Inca, the village of Caimari, evaluation of the week and farewells of visitors.
We really enjoyed learning and sharing experiences with different countries !!
